The Transylvania Old Town Hostel Sibiu, founded in the Summer of 2005, tremendously located in the oldest and most romantic square of the city, warmly welcomes you to our city. We are proud to be the only hostel in Sibiu.
A light and inspiring atmosphere has been created by large windows, which contrast with the dark corners of our brick arcade basement.
Our hostel is located above the History Museum of Pharmaceutics. The museum preserves on oits ground floor ceiling in Baroque Stuccowork. In this house had been functioning since 1568, one of the chemist's shop from Sibiu, where the creator of the homeopathy Samuel Hahnemann activated.
The Old Town Sibiu, important ensemble of medieval arhitecture in the central - east European context, is in fact, the greatest reservation of national arhitecture, both in wideness (about 80 ha) buit volume and the richness and the complexity of the urban shapes and of the preserved architectural elements of Transylvania.
Piata Mică (The Small Square)
It is placed on interior area of the second belt of fortifications of the town where also our hostel is. The square greatly preserves its 15-th century aspect, all the buildings being historic monuments, the elements of fortification, the public buildings or the dwellings being distinguished.
