Las Vegas Bay MacGregor Association normally sail out of Callville Bay Marina (12 East of JT RT 147/167 of the Northshore Scenic Drive, Lake Mead NV). There are presently NO DUES for belonging to the association.
BI-MONTHLY FUN RACES:
Meetings are only held during the start of Bi-Monthly Fun Races. Called Fun Races to encourage inexperience sailboat skipper to try sailboat race for "fun" without all the sailboat racing rules to scare them away. We only have three simple race rules: 1) Don't hit another boat 2) No penalties assessed 3) First Commodore's ruling of race results final, no appeal.
ANNUAL LVBMA Founders' Day Cup Race:
Normally held the last Saturday in April. Captains' Meeting 0800 hrs at Callville Bay Marina Restaurant. Race starts at 0930 hrs. Race terminated due to no winds ~ 1400 hrs. BBQ and Awards ceremony approx. 1600 hrs.
Annual week long Mead Madness Sail (April) and Fall Flotilla Sail (October) with launch point Callville Bay Marina. Monitoring VHF Channel 68 on the hour for late comers providing information of overnight location.
