I've been a counselor for over 30 years, and this is one of the most common questions.
You'd think that with the advent of the Internet and Online dating, that finding a lifelong relationship would be easier. But its not. For every story of success and love found, there are tales of woe. Simply put, on the Web, there are a lot of game-players.
It's been my privilege to be of help in creating WUVING.com, a new dating site that already has access to thousands of men and women looking for lasting relationships. To my knowledge, WUVING.com is the first online dating site to take its direction in content and procedure from a professional psycholgist and marriage counselor.

As a marriage counselor for over 30 years, I've witnessed a massive change in the dating scene. On a recent forum of counselors and psychologists, I heard a wide range of theories relating to this change. One elderly and well-respected doctor blamed "Southern California" -- meaning Hollywood and Porn Valley -- for the "decline in traditional morality." Others have pointed out that there seems to be a decrease in sexual activity among the young, a "new teenage conservatism."
The one thing that we all agreed on is the emergence of Internet Dating as the primary way of meeting your match.
According to the Pew Internet & American Life Project's Online Dating Survey, the majority of actively dating Americans have tried to score online at least once. One out of three adults says they "know someone who has used a dating website." Last year alone, more than 17 million people attempted to cyberflirt their way to a love Online.
What are the hottest trends in online dating?
The US Census Bureau tells us there are at least 92 million single Americans.
The large, well-known generic dating sites are doing tons of business. But for all their successes, there are millions of disappointed singles. The reason is that these older services are too big. Many singles have been unable to find someone to love who shares their basic values, their life-interests and passions.

Visits to this site are low, but that's the point. Theoretically, the reduced-size dating pool increases your probability of meeting someone who shares your interests.
**Worldwide matchmaking is back. Asians, Australians, Africans, Latin Americans -- people are meeting from all over the planet -- love, romance and common interests and values are more important now than nationality. Especially for those who believe in a traditional marriage.
**Interracial dating sites are really booming. Interracial Cupid has become one of the hottest dating sites anywhere. An Interracial dating site for black and white singles seeking love, dating and marriage, it's "got buzz."
**"All Shapes" sites are also increasing fast in popularity. Big Beautiful Women, Tall men and Women -- all shapes and sizes. Again, singles are tired of being just a ghost on a huge generic website. They know who they really are and they want to find a true soulmate.
