Travel nurse positions and local fill-in travel jobs are available to registered nurses who are US licensed.
The qualifications for a travel nurse are listed below. We do not place CNA's. LVN/LPN's may apply.
Travel Nurse Qualifications - Are Your Skills in Demand?
In order for you to qualify for an assignment at one of our client facilities, there are some basic criteria that you must meet:
1-year recent acute care hospital experience
Active nursing license in one or more states
Legal right to work in U.S.
Generally speaking we are looking for currently U.S. licensed Registered Nurses who have a minimum of 1 year of recent acute-care hospital experience.
The more flexible you are in your desired shift and location, the easier you are to place in a contract, simply because you will have more options to choose from. Remember, those nurses who are the MOST FLEXIBLE, make the MOST MONEY!
In general, the following describes the candidate that is in the highest demand as a travel nurse. Although we place every specialty, these are the most sought after:
Specialty is ICU/CCU, ER, LD, MS, OR or Tele (Others units are available)
Nurses with current acute care experience. (They have worked in the hospital setting in the last year)
Nurses who are willing to work the night shift and some weekends
If your only experience has been in a SNF (skilled nursing facility, pronounced "sniff" - a convalescent home), home health, case management, or you have not worked in an acute care setting in a few years, you will be more difficult to place unless you have updated your acute care skills recently with verification of completed classes.
In the event that you do not qualify by the criteria listed above, we still would like to work with you! Please visit our Affiliate Program Page page to learn how you can make big money by referring nurses to us from home.
