P.J. Cook is an accomplished gallery painter and illustrator. She is versatile in many mediums and spends most of her time working with oils, acrylics, watercolors and pen & ink. Most of her work portrays the details often overlooked such as the dewdrops on a flower petal or a bird walking in a local marsh near the shore. She is active in many juried competitions and has garnered many awards. She holds a BFA from Paier College of Art and is a member of the Lyme Art Association and the American Society of Marine Artists.
Most of her favorite subjects are flowers, animals, shore scenes and birds found along the New England coast. P.J. comes from a family of boaters and has enjoyed fishing and cruising Long Island Sound most of her life. She works from her studio in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
Her watercolor painting “Amistad” was on display in the Northeast Regional Exhibition by the American Society of Marine Artists and the International Marine Art Exhibition at The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport.
