As the property in question is still in the early stages of construction . When you buy off plan the mortgage can only be raised by completion. The only way to secure a mortgage in Spain is against the property and as long as the property is not completed we can't secure the mortgage. You can apply already now and have the mortgage approved in writing but we can’t do the survey until 1 month before completion.

No, you can purchase and apply for a mortgage but you will need a N.I.E number by completion which will be your Spanish tax number in the future.

Yes, if the land and all the licenses are in your name we can do an interest only mortgage with stage payments.

All Spanish banks want the mortgage to be paid off before you are 70 years old so the answer to your question is 16 years.

In Spain we don’t have “buy to let” mortgage but a normal re-payment mortgage will allow you to rent out your property.
