Eye Color Guidelines:
• Keep deeper colors on the lid.
• Use lighter colors on the brow bone.
• For a casual but polished look, sweep one shade from lashes to brow bone.
• Use cream shadows sparingly - the colors tend to be very vivid.
• Eye gloss is the newest trend. It adds a sheer shine to lids.
• Apply powder eyeliners wet for more intense color.
• White, pink and yellow eyeliner pencils tend to make the eye look open and brighter. Blue counteracts redness, and black will give you a sultry look.
• To make eyeliner easier to apply, manufacturers make it so creamy it doesn't stay put. Simply use a matching powder eyeshadow to set your eyeliner.
Covering Undereye Circles:
• The fastest cure for dark circles is to apply concealer in a gold-based color that matches your skin shade exactly (gold counteracts blue undereye circles)
• The most common mistake made when selecting concealer is choosing too light of a shade - this can have a 'reverse raccoon' effect
• Another mistake is placing concealer only under the eye. You should apply & blend it around the entire eye area
• Set concealer with a light dusting of translucent powder so that it stays put
• Avoid drawing attention to the undereye area, by NOT applying eyeliner or mascara to the lower lashes
• Apply a white shimmer (blue-base) pencil at the darker inner under-eye corner.

Selecting the Right Lip Color:
• Darker skin tones have the greatest range: plums, chocolates, reds, pastels & orange shades work well with your skin - deeper skin tones can pull-off deeper shades of lipstick.
• Medium skin tones: all shades of red, brown-based mauves, sheer berries or spicy browns all look great on you.
• Pale skin tones: nudes, beiges, light corals & light pink shades in sheer tones will be most flattering.
• Women over 50 usually look best with cream lipstick rather than matte or gloss.
• If a lipstick shade turns out brighter than you thought, simply color in your lips first with a pencil darker than your lipstick & layer the lipstick on top.

How to Apply Powder Blush:
Blush becomes more intense in hue as it warms up with body heat - which is why less is truly more when applying it
STEP 1 Toss the brush that comes with compact; it's too stiff & small to create a natural look. Buy a good blush brush
STEP 2 Grin widely into a mirror, to locate the apple of your cheeks
STEP 3 Dip the blush brush into the powder, shake off the excess and brush it lightly over the apple of the cheek toward the ear, with short, up-and-down vertical movements
STEP 4 Blend blush in with one soft horizontal stroke on top of the vertical strokes
STEP 5 Blot a tissue on top to remove the excess, or dust lightly with translucent powder
STEP 6 Brush a very light stroke of blush across your forehead by your hairline & above the brows where the sun would kiss your face
Cream Blush & Cheek Gel Application Tips:
• If using a cream blush or cheek gel, dab a very small amount on the apple of each cheek, then gently tap & pull it in the right direction with a sponge to spread evenly.
• Always blend cream blush & cheek gel extremely well using foundation or translucent powder
• Take a tiny bit on the tip of the brush or sponge and stroke gently upward & outward toward the ear

Five Ways to Make Your Manicure Last:
1. Make sure your nail is very clean before applying polish. Natural oils, lotion or a piece of cotton fiber will cause polish to peel. Strip nails clean by gently swabbing them with nail polish remover.
2. Always use a base coat and top coat. It's tempting to skip them if you're in a rush. However, it's not worth it if your polish chips sooner. Base coats acts as a preserver for your nail - top coats are a protectant for polish.
3. Let each coat dry a couple of minutes before applying another - This allows polish to set so the next layer can adhere.
4. Wear gloves when you work in water or dirt (dishes or gardening).
5. Don't use your nails as tools. Focus on using the pads of your fingers, not the tips, when you reach, hold & type.

• Finger the Naturally Curly 'Do'! -
You can have all the bounce & curl of a perm without chemically damaging your hair!
After shampooing, blow-dry until your hair is damp. Comb 'Oasis Biogel Foam' through hair, from roots to ends. Next, twist 1 inch sections of hair around your index finger. Then, simply pin these rolls of hair securely with bobby pins close to scalp. Air-dry or blow-dry with diffuser.
After hair is dry, mist all over with 'Oasis Moisture-Intense Hairspray' to keep your waves bouncy & shiny all day long. Lastly, release your hair from the bobby pins, then softly finger the curls into the shape you desire.

A look that can go from the office to a night on the town...
For best results, start with 'Oasis Body-Building Shampoo & Conditioner In One'. Towel-dry hair and comb out using 'Oasis Bio-Gel Foam' roots to ends for perfect root volume & intensive shine. Next, set hair on large Velcro rollers until dry (Thick hair use less hair on more rollers - fine hair use more hair on fewer rollers).
