Celebrity Gossip
Google Groups now has a new site called Celebrity Gossip. Anyone is allowed to join and post comments on that board.

Go to Web Site

The new Celebrity Gossip Groups Board at Google contains URL's of celebrities where fans can read what the celebrities are saying and also leave a message. Most of the celebrity blogger sites have either a comment board or a message board. Fans can ask stars direct questions and expect to see those questions answered on the comment or message boards.

So far this concept seems to be working well from what I'm seeing on the celebrity boards. For the most part the comments are quite lively. With the celebrity star as the central focus, fans seen very extrovertive. In many cases fans seem to make good friends with fellow fans.

Because you can leave the URL for your own web page, other fans get a chance to see what kind of a person you may be based on what sort of things that may be on your web page. This is in stark contrast to people that never post on a celebrity web site.

Because normal every day people are not well known on the internet, it can be very hard for them to get anyone to comment on their comment boards. Its very sad to see. Often times I've noticed very well put together web pages with blank comment boards.

The problem for most individuals are that search engines aren't likely to bring visitors to their web sites unless they have made their sites very search engine friendly. But must ordinary web surfers don't understand what sort of key words they need to be picked up by the search engines.

I think it would be fair to assume that for the most part celebrities that have celebrity blogging sites have obtained help with their site deseign as well as with their preparation to be search engine friendly. But for Joe and Jane ordinary, the cost of getting expert help for their blog sites would seem prohibitive unless it was going to be used for business.

So many ordinary bloggers become frustrated when they see that no one leaves a comment in their comment box. But in contrast the celeberity blogs have ample comments. So far there are only a handful of celebrity bloggers, but I think that will change as time goes on. The few celebrity blogs that are active are doing very well.

In that respect celebrity bloggers are not that different from Joe average bloggers. Many celebrities that started blogs have abandoned them or post very infrequently. Celebrity Bloggers has only been listing active celebrities and the ones that are so called celebrity porn stars have not been included as the have on other boards.

The thinking here is that porn stars are already quite easy ti find on the web. So to include them on a hard to find celebrity bloggers list just doesn't make a lot of sense. Besides, I would expect that a lot of the younger set might be drawn to a celebrity blogger board, so I think it would be best to maintain a G for General Audience rating for such a site.

Anyone can read or post on the Google Group Board that's listed under the heading of Celebrity Gossip and also anyone can have their celebrity blogger recommendations added to the list.

I think that all celebrity fans will enjoy reading Celebrity Gossip and I really think they will like the fact that many will read their comments and respond to them. In my opinion celebrity blogs have a bright future. I really think the blogs are great for the stars and the fans as well. At some point in the future any celebrity worth their salt will most likely have to have a celebrity blogger site.

But off course the internet is still evolving and it may be foolish to make any predictions about the twists and turrns that the blogging evolution may take.
