“Great Stay and nice Hospitality”
The Guest House organizes airport transfers. All the time there is a driver being organised to take you wherever you want. I felt fully secure and best hosted in Pakistan. From the guest house it is easy to access safe markets and shops. The Service is very good and they are very helpful to fulfill every wish. It was a great stay in the New Grace Cape and i will definitely recommend to all my colleagues and will use it for next trip to Pakistan.

"Karim and Sameer make you feel like family"
Ask for recommendations among friends who are journalists, academics, workers at NGOs, and others who need good, convenient accommodation on a reasonable budget when they visit Islamabad, and one name is mentioned over and over again - New Cape Grace Guest House. The reason NCG consistently gets such great reviews, over and over again, is simple - owner/manager Karim, and his son Sameer constantly go the extra mile to make your stay there a truly terrific experience.
Located in the heart of town, walking distance from both Jinnah Market and Super Market, NCG presents outstanding value for money, with clean spacious and very comfortable rooms for very reasonable rates. Although the rooms themselves can be a little dark, and are lit almost entirely by white neon, the many pictures on the guest house website let you see before you come exactly what you get, with pictures of almost every room - so anyone can know before booking exactly what to expect. The wireless internet connection is very fast, totally reliable, and easy to get on to. There's a kitchen with good, hot food and round-the-clock room service, providing a level of comfort that few competitors in this price range can match.
Ultimately, though, it's not the rooms, the food, or even the great location and great value that keep people coming back over and over again. No, far more than these things, it's the quality of service that makes NCG a true gem. Whatever you need, Karim and Sameer will do everything they can to make it happen.
Need to get your laundry done and back later the same day? Karim will have the laundry person come especially to take your stuff, and bring it back as soon as possible. Need a car and driver for the evening, at only an hour's notice, on the night before Eid, when no-one wants to take the job? Karim will spend half an hour or more on the phone to find someone for you, and he'll make sure it's someone he trusts, and he'll make sure he negotiates a reasonable rate. Need to print something out, scan it, and email it again? Karim and Sameer have all the equipment, and jump at the chance to help you out. Have some boxed left-overs from that great restaurant meal last night, that you want to recycle for lunch? Karim will have the staff warm them up for you, and have them cook a great fresh paratha or chapati to go with it. Don't know exactly how long you need to stay for, and then suddenly need to check out after a week or more at short notice, with possible intentions to return, at an unspecified date in a few days time? No worries - Karim will just make everything work!
Nowhere else are staff so concerned to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. Stay for more than a few days, and you can guarantee you will feel not just like a client, but like Karim and Sameer have welcomed you into their family. And that, above anything, is what makes this the best place to stay in Islamabad.

“3 weeks here and I never missed home!”
I spent the most part of my 3 week vacation staying here as a tourist after originally booking 1 week. First time to Pakistan and I only had a vague idea of what to see in and around Islamabad so I was really surprised and thankful that Mr. Karim and Samir had new suggestions each day for places to visit. These included forts, markets, monuments and gardens. They even arranged for a driver to take me to these sites (some quite far such as Murree and Rohtas fort) at a reasonable cost and helped me arrange my stay at Lahore on short notice. My limited knowledge of Urdu was no problem thanks to their help making phone calls for bus bookings, etc.
There was an interesting variety lodging at NCG including journalists, researchers and people working for NGOs. Naturally as a shy person I didn't intend to meet anyone but the atmosphere was so welcoming at the entrance that I met quite a few and befriended some NGO workers with CDRS who took me up to Kashmir to visit.
I stayed in 3 rooms during my visit, all were very clean and spacious. Showers and beds were comfortable. Always something good on TV too. The guest house is situated in a quiet residential area of Islamabad, not too far from the commercial Blue Area, a 5-minute taxi ride from F7 Jinnah Market and a 10-minute walk away from F6 Supermarket (my fave). Sometimes taxis have trouble finding the guest house's exact location so I used to tell them "7th Avenue, F-6/1, House #8" (even if the guest house might technically be on Justice Abdul Rasheed).
As a recent graduate looking not to spend much, I found the pricing reasonable and the value great. Good security, courteous staff with also night pickups/dropoffs available for a reasonable cost. I found NCG to be very accommodating and like a home away from home. I believe it would also make a great spot for short stays.
