Curvy Lingerie for Real Women.
Curvy lingerie is for real, full figured women who have curves, hips and busts. Curvy lingerie is for big girls, thick women and plus size women who have curves that let everyone know they are women.
We are hung up on labels in the west and by that I mean thin is in and fat is out. Curvy is good, busty is good but full figured and plus size are not so great. If your blind date is described as having a good personality she must be unattractive.
A pleasantly plump woman is well, overweight while a woman with hips and curves is sort of big. Real women have curves where women are supposed to have curves. Breasts are real, a woman's hips and butt are supposed to have extra padding but somehow it has been the target of shame as opposed to acceptance. In other words we seem to want our women to have a man's butt, waist and thighs with a woman's bust which is unusual to say the least.
Curvy lingerie is for those real women who are women in a traditional sense as they look and feel like a woman should. Curvy lingerie is all about celebrating the sexuality of a woman rather than drawing the definition of sexy as being in a narrow range of weight and weight. One could refer to curvy lingerie as plus size lingerie or full figured lingerie but in truth it is about a positive descriptive term and that is curvy. If you refer to a woman as curvy it conjures up images of voluptuous, soft and feminine.
Why shouldn't a woman feel positive about herself in her lingerie? Why shouldn't a woman who looks like a woman, perhaps who has produced children have a strong, healthy image of herself as sensuous and seductive as opposed to being overweight and unattractive? Over the years we have gone through a metamorphosis in descriptive terms when it comes to women who have curves. Prior to curvy there was bbw or big beautiful women, then to plus size to full figured to thick in no particular order. While none of these terms are particularly offensive they do draw attention to women who have curves. We call lingerie that thin, slender or "normal" women wear as missy or simply size 4 or size 8.
Regardless of which term you prefer or dislike it is clear that lingerie for curvy women is on the ascent as more and more emphasis is being placed on producing and marketing lingerie for curvy women. Not that long ago manufacturers used the same models to market curvy lingerie and regular sizes and that met with an outcry which exposed the hypocrisy in the industry. Sure using the same model for both size ranges was cost effective but it also strongly suggested that plus size models weren't available or even worse that photographing curvy women would be a turn off to many buyers. The truth is curvy women are extremely sexy, in many cases more erotic and sexually pleasing than the run of the model who is thin to skinny with enhanced breasts. Many women and men prefer natural breasts as opposed to the models who are surgically enhanced.
Curvy lingerie lingerie for women who have those coveted curves, those curves that define a woman. Perhaps it is a period of time where natural women are not celebrated and that time is drawing to a close. We are well into a resurgence of curvy women being the definition of women and how they appear naked. All women are beautiful but the popular media has hijacked our perceptions and many men as well as women have succumbed to the popular definition of how a woman is supposed to look.
The tabloids are full of the "fallen" actress who was so beautiful until she gained weight. The actress who is back on track by signing up with the weight loss program and loses 40 pounds and shows off her body in a 2 piece swim suit. We accept the proposition that a woman who struggles with bulimia or anorexia is a matter of fact. While true it doesn't mean it is desirable as the personalities who are role models indeed impact young women who struggle with their weight and as they become older women they maintain these attitudes that curves are only acceptable if the curves are in their bras.
