My number one goal with my business is helping others help themselves. Granted, I have goals of making money myself, but if I can help others, through training and proper leadership, realize their goals and dreams, my reward will come. As president of a non-profit organization, the desire to help others is deeply rooted in my personality. It is gratifying to me to see others succeed at whatever they attempt to do. Our business has three primary opportunities in which to be successful: retailing, fundraising and residual income. Each of these opportunities is discussed in detail on my website at www.itmakesscents.biz.

I am a CPA by trade who happens to love candles. I saw an ad one day in a local Memphis newspaper entitled, "Burn Candles, Make Money." I thought "candles and money", that's right up my alley. I acquired more information and began my research before I made a decision to get into the candle business. There are many great opportunities available, but I encourage everyone to do their homework before investing as is the case with any investment opportunity, even one of a menial 39.95, which is what this was going to cost me. I didn't know a lot about network marketing at the time, but I learned that getting in on the ground floor of an opportunity is not always the best. This company had already been in business several years and was debt free. This got my attention. There was no long term commitment to sign, so if I did it for a month and it turned out to be something that wasn't for me, I could just discontinue my distributorship. That was in July 2007 and I'm still here.

It has been absolutely amazing how much I have learned through the awesome training calls we have each week, how supportive each and every upline distributor is of my success and how friendly the staff at the corporate office are. It is so exciting to see that new products are being introduced every year and even new "divisions" of products like the Mineral Beauty Makeup which was presented at our Las Vegas 2009 regional conference. Now I must admit, when the makeup line was revealed, I wasn't too enthused. However, when one of the male presenters told us about the statistics of men selling makeup, I got really excited. Needless to say, I'm going to learn about makeup.

Additionally, this is an opportunity that can be done part-time or full-time. So, whatever your goals are this opportunity is conducive to helping you achieve them.
