Today alot of colon cleansing products are gaining popularity, and with all these different products, how can you decide which ones are good and which ones aren't?
Needless to say though, whether or not these products are effective in improving your colon health remains to be seen. We will see when people start talking about them.
Anyway! You can cleanse your colon with foods from your local supermarket. They are cheaper, safer and often more effective.
Eating a wide variety of foods will help in keeping your colon healthy and functioning optimally.
A healthy diet with adequate water, fiber and nutrients prevents any serious colon problems.
I promise you, you will be surprised by some of these foods, they are so ordinary!
Here is the list:
1. Fruits
You guessed it! Fruits are one of the best foods for your stomach. They contain lots of vitamins, mineral and fiber and that is the trifecta which is critical for our colon health.
Fruits also contain anti-oxidants which help protect your cells in your body.
Here’s a few examples of great fruits for your stomach: strawberries, blueberries, cloudberries, figs, prunes, avocadoes, bananas, pineapples, apples, papayas, tangerines and the list never stops!
2. Vegetables
I’m sure you knew that this was coming, vegetables! They are very important in providing alkalizing minerals for your body. Many salad-juices have shown to be beneficial for stomach ulcers and other bowel problems.
If you don’t like vegetables that much you can steam the lightly and mix them in your food. Another way would be to take something like spinach or romaine lettuce and make a banana smoothie out of it, it tastes delicious and is a very healthy meal. Examples of awesome vegetables are: beets, carrots, romaine lettuce, spinach, kale, celery, squash, cucumber and more.
3. Whole-Grain Products
Bread, pasta and other whole-grain products are great as long as they are natural without added stuff like sugar, preservatives, additives and sweeteners. The reason whole-grain products are good for colon health is because of their fiber. They usually contain more fiber than their processed counterparts.
4. Rice
I eat something called “raw rice” and it is basically whole-grain rice, if you can call it that. Brown, raw, whole-grain, they are all good. Make sure they are as close to their natural state as possible and rice is very healthy for you. Lots of fiber and some good nutrients as well!
5. Beans
Beans are important for our health. Legumes of all sorts are beneficial for our colon for the same reasons as everything else I have listed, so eat them!
6. Cereals
Did you know cereals are great for your stomach? You’ve probably read it on the box, but you have to be careful about what cereal you buy because most of them will contain sugar and other things that are not healthy for you. Go for the whole-grain natural kind without sugar and without anything extra. It tastes a little bit less good but is many times healthier for you.
7. Nuts & Seeds
Last but not least, nuts & seeds are a great source for good fat, minerals and fiber. Eat them and be merry.
So as you can see, you can find lots of good foods in your local supermarket. Eat healthy and stay healthy!
