Tips for Unique Accents

How can you give your home or office a unique feel? Through unique accents, of course. Decor accents are not limited to art objects or paintings. There are unlimited quantities of objects that can help you create an original ambiance, if used correctly. Here are some ideas that you can use as a guide and that can bring you to surprising results.
Plates can be used as a decorative element for an office reception area, a living room or a bedroom. A small display place just for them, especially when they have elements that go with the whole room, will have a wonderful effect. They can also be displayed in beautiful decorative holders that hang on your wall.
You can use a beautiful porcelain bowl as a centerpiece on a small table, or place a plant in a beautiful plant holder, porcelain pottery, or a basket to bring a bit of nature indoors. Don't just limit your decor to the living room! These things can add style to any room of the home or workplace.
A unique chair or a small accent table or cabinet can improve the ambiance in living rooms or office lobbies.
An arrangement of candles in unique holders, or wall decor with distinctive motifs, fitting the style of other elements in the room can go a long way in making a room inviting. Don't just look at pictures in frames... Think outside the box! There are many things that can add visual interest to the walls of your business or home which will add unique style. Try a wall mounted plate holder to display your collection of porcelain. Or use candle holders designed to mount on the wall. And try some unique wall panels or plaques, which are paintings on pieces of solid wood, rather than canvas in a frame. The frames for wall panels are intricately carved right into the wood! Try mixing large pieces with smaller pieces for a distinctive look.
Do not forget about lamps and interesting lamp shades. They are very important decorative elements, that can be easily integrated anywhere in the room. Update the look of your existing lamps with an interesting decorative lamp shade or finial. Add a floor lamp near an ez-chair to add more light for reading. Mini-lamps are perfect for accenting decorative arrangements on shelves or on nightstands. And a decorative table lamp can dress up any room while making the whole room brighter. Even plain looking chandeliers in dining or entry areas can become stylish and unique with the addition of a set of beautiful chandelier shades that complement your decor.
Special tea boxes, trinket boxes, or decorative baskets can provide places to store items while establishing a certain atmosphere.
Photo albums, with their greatly designed and varied covers represent a way to decorate any environment. They can also be used for showcasing your company's work! Display them on a one-of-a-kind coffee table, end-table, or console table.
Always keep an eye open to absolutely anything that might complete your interior. Don’t just place objects anywhere... experiment a little and you will be pleasantly surprised with the results.
