The project PROMOCOOP.ro includes a large variety of services in order to promote the activities of the handicrafts and production cooperatives from Romania.
The initiative of SCM PUBLITER - a handicraft and production cooperative, owner of project - to offer integrate services (publicity and organizing trade fairs and exhibitions, products commercialization on intern and extern market)at lower prices for the sector of the cooperation is presumed to be a benefit and the result would be a team success.
The European opportunity - Romania has been member of European Union since 1'st January 2007- should be exploited in an 24 hours a day on-line presence: essential information about cooperatives, their products and services, a direct contact with presumptive business partners. Conceived as a virtual fair where the stalls are represented by autonomous mini-sites of affiliated cooperatives, PROMOCOOP.ro it also includes a Romanian handicraft e-shop, a forum where the main subjects are from COOP area, a newsletter, a blog and a pool system to maintain the interactivity, RSS feeds too.
We are having 25 societies now, but we hope for a large number in the future. The project development represents a challenge for us, a means of bonding the two directions: the first one refers to the preoccupations and immediate solutions adopted by the cooperatives themselves and the second one - strategic development objectives synthethised in the programmes of UCECOM (National Union of Handicraft and Production Cooperatives of Romania).
We offer you information about Romanian Handicraft and Production Co-operatives, member organizations of Cooperatia Mestesugareasca (Romanian Association of Co-operatives Handicraft) or about their products.
If the active selection is Cooperatives / Products , essential data about companies (name, seat, logo) are displayed and the cooperative’s subdomain, tipically http://company.promocoop.ro, is available with general presentation, contact and representatives products pages. Significant, every product has it’s own page with photo and summary description.
Similar, for Cooperative / Products selection, the photos of products, the producer name and a short presentation of product are displayed. The shortcuts will direct you on the details page of product.
Note: all this characteristics, data or photos, can be update by co-operatives by themselves. You can send a message (an order maybe...) in “CONTACT” page, too: there are two components of a relationship that we’d like to be directly and as lucrative as possible!

…a meeting with Romanian popular art articles of superior quality, from all ethnographic areas of our country:
- embroidered blouse with white, red or blue silk;
- byzanthine icons, manually painted. Interpretations after genuine icons created between the 12-th and 13-th century, drawn from Byzanthine art;
- carpets hand maded , woven at the vertical loom or are woven at the horizontal loom;
- natural eggs (without content) or wooden eggs, manual painted, decorated with beadworks;
... rugs, small furniture, folk dolls, ceramics, glassware, etc. It is a genuine and valuable creation which reflects good taste, produced by Romanian artisans and Romanian handicraft cooperatives.
The PROMOCOOP project will extend according to participation of new co-operatives. We are grateful for any suggestion or collaboration plan.
