Tim Mack, the author of Tiffany Stone experienced a good number of things in the story while he was enlisted in the US Navy. Tim Mack and his friend Kevin really did write comedy scripts for the entertainment of their shipmates while underway.
Tim Mack always liked to write, but almost all his writing knowledge was taught to him by Nuns. While in Grade School, he became the darling of the Convent when he would visit with his friend who had a Mother at the Convent that was the cook.
Tim Mack can just not bring himself to use any foul language in anything he writes. His friend Kevin was amazed that sailors would laugh so hard at his squeaky clean comedy scripts. But even funnier was the fact that his co-comedy writer was only one of two guys who went to an all girls College.
Tim Mack was always amazed that Kevin got a degree in Journalism with an entire College of girls around him. Still funnier, Kevins parents sent him to the all girls College because they had invested all Kevins College money in what they thought was a very safe Utility Company. That Utility Company turned out to be Three Mile Island.
Tim Mack and his friend Kevin wrote so many comical scripts during their time in the Navy that would have been lost forever if not for the Tiffany Stone story idea. Perhaps, for the very first time readers can get a glimpse of what on board Navy humor may really be like.
Because the comedy scripts were real and familiar to Tim Mack, he also wanted the journalist in the story to be real and familiar. An admirerer of Tiffany Stone and her famous Hollywood blog named Breakfast At Tiffany's, he decided that she would be perfect to play the part of the journalist in the story.
Both Tim Mack and Tiffany Stone are members of Journalspace where they both keep an online diary. Tim Mack first named his journal there A Sailors Journal. But after Tim Mack noticed Tiffany Stone's online diary and her constant use of the French word Du Jour, he decided to change the name of his journal.
So now Tim Mack has renamed his online diary Irresistible Du Jour. Tiffany Stone's online diary is also listed as her blog named Breakfast At Tiffany's. Before their online experience neither one of them were familiar with the other.
Her blog, Breakfast At Tiffany's is loaded with humor. For a journalist that writes about Hollywood movie stars, that's highly unusual. The story plot is far from conventional, so a journalist that was far from convential was called for.
Tim Mack was also comfortable with the fact that Tiffany Stone had liked all of the comedy scripts in the story. Aside from being a Hollywood journalist, Tiffany Stone is also a movie script reader. She's read enough scripts to give an honest opinion on their merit. In fact it was her encouragement that gave Tim Mack the confidence to write something that was so different from the norm.
Tim Mack has experienced first hand things that are different from the norm. For a very long time Tim Mack wondered if a certain waitor at Brew'N' Berger was mentaly challenged. Everytime Tim Mack and a friend would order a pitcher of beer, the waitor would keep pouring the pitcher into several glasses.
Tim Mack and his friend just assumed that the waitor was mentaly challenged and always left a big tip felling sorry for the poor guy. But Tim Mack laughed the hardest when that poor mentaly challenged guy got his own TV show on NBC. They called it The Jerry Seinfeld Show. So, sometimes being a bit unconvential works. I mean at least Jerry Seinfeld got people to give him good tips anyway.
Tiffany Stone may not be the type of Sci-Fi comedy that you would expect, but for sure the chemistry works.
