Milacron
Overview
Milacron is a a global company focused primarily on manufacturing and selling plastics processing equipment and supplies. Milacron also blends and sell industrial fluids for metalworking applications on a worldwide basis.
Challenge
Milacron was preparing the documentation (CVs, company background information, case studies, business plans, proposal, etc) needed to submit an important bid. Because the client was Spanish, all documents had to be prepared both in English and Spanish. Because the deadline was imminent, the English text for the bid and the translation had to be prepared simultaneously.
Approach and Solution
The time constraints meant that it would have been impossible for one person to undertake the translation. LinkTranslation gathered a team of financial translators who worked non-stop until the whole bid was complete. Each translator was assigned a different part of the job to achieve as much consistency within translated documents as possible.
Results and Benefits
The project was completed well within the deadline and our client managed to successfully submit their bid. They were grateful, as they appreciated that Linktranslation had achieved a considerable feat; in fact, some other companies missed the tender deadline because their translations were not ready in time.

Philips have regular, ongoing requirements for the translation of technical documents supporting new products and system launches.
Because Philips international divisions are key to its expansion, all business practices must be accurate and understandable. Approach and solution

Overview
MyHeritage.com, a popular genealogy Website has established itself as one of the most innovative and progressive genealogy website on the internet.
Challenge
When MyHeritage.com set about launching their multilaguage website into new markets, all website documentation had to be made available in the local languages requesting a multilingual infrastructure that allows it to run in many languages. The translated text had to be dellivered within a very short turnaround time.
Translators should not only translate the strings and proof-read the result, but also to view the MyHeritage.com pages in their target language to verify that the end result looks good and makes sense. Bugs and problems, such as strings that are chopped due to lack of room, or concatenated strings that did not make sense due to grammar differences between English and other languages, had to be fixed.
Approach and Solution
Translating the MyHeritage Website took place within a translation system called the MyHeritage Translation Wiki that was developed by the MyHeritage. It allowed LinkTranslation´s team of translators to view the strings in English and translate them into their target language, saving the results providing a real-time visualization of the Website itself.
