City people don't think it is possible. But it could happen. Most pets will come in contact with parasites because of their habits of sniffing around in the dirt and licking eveything they come in contact with. We don't pay any attention to it. It's a normal thing of animals to do.
The pets and farm animals must have a regular program of medications which they take to remove parasites. Safe drugs to take are available at feed stores. Cestodes are removed with Pyrantel Pamoate. The proscribed dosage will be listed on the package. Nematodes can be removed with piperazine. These are safe and effective drugs to usto remove many parasites from the family pet. This will improve the enviroment for the family.
Just don't get in a hurry and make a mathmatical mistake. Usually the listing is in milligrams per kilogram. A kilogram is 2.2 pounds. Sometimes, though, it may be in micrograms per kilogram. This is where you could make a serious mistake. A microgram -the little backwards u thing- is much smaller than a milligram. Like 1,000 times smaller. I think so. Look it up. I always double check my work.
After having administered the pyratel pamoate and the piperazine you still feel that more might be done you should reconsider. These drugs are expensive and you can't tell if it is working anyway. DANGER: if there is a heavy infection and the medication is effective then there will be many toxic products released when they are eliminated. These toxins may damage the body.
DEATH MAY BE THE RESULT
With this warning I will go ahead and tell you what stronger medications are available. Invermectin will often cause a reaction. This is because it has destroyed some of the parasites, the bendazoles may cause a reaction. Maybe just a skin irritation but in a severe case DEATH COULD BE THE RESULT.

I do not care for many bugs. There are a few bugs I tolerate but not many. Bugs bite. Flys are not pretty but they are successful. I like to have Green Lacewing but these bugs are so slow and not very clever, though pretty. They are barely able to survive. You will only see one or two in a season of thousands of flies. I wonder if it would be possible to change this ratio. Would it be a different world. Floaty little green bugs instead of biting flies everywhere. Why not? This is my dream.
