Fresh snow in Faraya Mzaar
Dear Fellow skiers,
Have you missed out on a good thing this year? Do you have the feeling that you really wanted something more from this ski season? Well the snow gods have been kind to the mountains of Faraya Mzaar in Kfardebian Lebanon. A fresh snow storm is dumping tons of the white stuff on the slopes you love to visit. Estimates are that by the end of the week more than half a meter of snow will be added to the already snow packed pistes in Lebanon. We are pretty sure that this season at Faraya Mzaar stands a good chance of extending past last year’s mark of April 13. So if you missed White Christmas, how about a White Easter…?
As you might know we have been organizing ski trips to Lebanon since 1993. We have always focused on improving what we offer to our customers. For this year we have made a few changes. Firstly we have upgraded our website (www.varianostravel.com) giving more information to our customers, both about what we offer and conditions in Faraya Mzaar. Secondly we are introducing the Terre Brune Hotel to your choices of accommodation. This is a small departure from our policy of only using slope side accommodation. For those of you choosing to stay at this brand new four star hotel located in Faqra, we feel your money will be well spent. Thirdly we are introducing a card that will get you discounts at a number of establishments in the Faraya Mzaar ski area, including better prices for equipment rentals at the Pic Blanc and Winter Sports ski shops.
Here is a sample of the packages we can offer to you should you decide to make the short trip to Faraya Mzaar and enjoy there your favorite snow sport:
Intercontinental Mzaar Lebanon, Mountain Resort and Spa:
For the period up to March 27, 2007:
Stay three weekday nights in a Premium room for only CYP 269.
Stay seven nights in a Standard room for only CYP 532.
For the period after March 27, 2007:
Stay three weekday nights in a Premium room for only CYP 253.
Stay seven nights in a Standard room for only CYP 474.
Prices are per person and include air ticket between Larnaca and Beirut with Middle East Airlines, transfers and shared accommodation on Half Board basis. Airport taxes not included.
Merab Hotel and Suites:
Five weekday nights stays from CYP 211 per person.
Seven nights package from CYP 254 per person.
