EBIT MANAGEMENT is an international business consultancy, with focus on change processes in private and public companies. The company has its roots in the producing industry, retail, sales and distribution, and general management of private owned companies on an international level. We can participate either as an advisor in major change processes, or with active participation in carrying through changes. We adress problems by getting to know them, their background , the reason they are there, how one could change the situation, how different solutions affects the company, and then by going for a very determined implementation of actions, with a follow up on very regular besis of how the performance is cahnging, to be able to adjust and steer the company so that the implementation is successful.

Management is our view, important to be visible, and in the frontline, when going for changes. The management can not hide in difficult situations, but should be very visible and active supporting the organisation - when it needs it the most.

A way to do this is to use a common Swedish method of a very obejct orientated management team, that has clearly defined repsonsibilities in a change process, and who meets and reports to the CEO reulary and who also has to take personal responsibility of carrying through decided actions. All managers are seen as personally responsible, and co not delegate responsibility downwards towrds the CEO. Duties can be delegated, but never responsibility.

Another method we use is to set short term goals and targets, which will be measured, reported and followed on short term basis. These goals and targets should all be in line with the primary target for the management - to improve the performance of the company. We believe it is important to have a responsible for each target or goal, and for the top management to support actions to improve the result of the actions that has to be taken to reach the set targets.

A visible owner is really critical scenarios, is perhaps one of the most important elements in a situation where a company has to change its performance fast. The reason is that the performance can only be changed by the people in the company, and their interaction with eachother, the customers, suppliers etc. And to get the personell to chenge, is to influence their mentality of what is possible, and what is important to focus on. The words and directives of a owner, alway weighs much heavier thant the owrds of an employed director. So visibility of owners is very important i situations where fast action is desired.
