My name is Risto Laukkanen and I’m the Managing Director of Datasoft Systems AB. I founded the company in 1976 and in 1991 we became an Ltd. Ever since then we have been growing steadily.
We offer our customers wireless communication products such as serial Bluetooth, Irda, RF-modem and Auto-ID. In the future we are planning to offer even more products so we can easily find the right solution for each customer.
It's important for us to be able to give our customers personal service and always be available to them if any problems would appear, even in the middle of the night.
Our customers are spread all around the world, in different business areas such as; building automation, cartesting equipment and industry enviroment etc. We have customers in approximately 40 countries and the number is growing steadily. Our goal is to work with resellers and distributors worldwide to bring the right solution to all our customers.
Our systems are patented and profitable. They enable wireless data communication between stationary and mobile computer units by using IrDA-Communicators or Bluetooth Serial Port Plugs. The only thing needed is a serial connection that can produce RS232 signals.
Two of Datasofts customers, Swedish Railways and Transavia airlines bought the IrDA-Communicator solution to facilitate their selling onboard and it became a huge success.

5000 Bluetooth Serial Port Plug, F2M01C1
This Bluetooth plug can be applied to almost every application that currently uses cables for serial communication. We also offers you OEM usage and customization with the plug.
5200 F2M03C1 Bluetooth Module
This module is a Class 1 Bluetooth device for longer distances and when you wish to use different types of antennas. It is surface mountable in an automatic
mounting line or manually for prototyping.
5203 Evaluationboard class 1
This module is a Class 2 Bluetooth device for shorter distances and is surface mountable in an automatic mounting line or manually for prototyping. It provides a fully Bluetooth compliant device for data and voice communication. Nominal range 20 m.
5202 F2M03AC2 Bluetooth Module
This is a Class 2 surface mountable Bluetooth module, F2M03AC2. The module includes antenna and an audio codec for conversion between analogue and digital voice. This is a Bluetooth End Qualified product which means no additional qualification needed.

Jörgensen Industri-elektronik AB - Sublift
One of DataSoft Systems partners is Jörgensen Industri-elektronik AB. They have now created a unique patented construction for efficient launching, lifting and positioning of boats. The lift is easily operated by one person with a wireless remote control. Yachts and boats can be conveniently moved from the water to the creadles. The sublift uses the Bluetooth Serial Port Plug to solve the small piece of wireless communication for a stable and secure handeling of large boats.

RTI Electronics AB

QPS, Quality Positioning Services
Datasoft has developed a batterysolution for QPS, which provides a wireless Bluetooth connection between the vessels AIS pilot plug and the computer. QPS has combined DataSofts Bluetooth Qonnector with their portable pilot electronic chart software package - Qastor. This created a compact and efficient solution for pilots. The Qonnector transmits all AIS information from the pilot plug to the Qastor software.

Wireless Hydronics WLH AB
Wireless Hydronics is in the developing business and works with waterflow systems and other systems to measure water and heat. Wireless Hydronics developed the PFM 2050, which is a meter for pressure and flow measurements across balancing valves. To read data from the PFM 2050 they use a smartphone equipped with a wireless Bluetooth Plug from Datasoft. Now they can read data from a distance and need no serial cable.

Massteknik Sweden AB
Massteknik in Sweden is working with big videoscreens in sports-, music- and corporate events. To control the light value of the videoscreens they need a wireless link between the videoscreens processor and a smartphone, Qtek 8080.
With the Bluetooth Plug in the smartphone they can control the screens from a distance without running behind the the screen to the processor.

SCA Transforest AB: OIS-BC
The OIS-BC EVS 134 bar code reader has proved to be the most reliable code reader for identification of paper reels at long distances. The reader is used today in all SCA paper mills and in a number of other applications within the paper industry.
The bar code reader from Baumer Ident is used on all fork lift trucks in the terminal. By using a light beam as a direction indicator, the driver can pick up the correct product.

Swedish Railways, SJ
Swedish Railways carries more than 19 million passengers every year. To enhance customer satisfaction SJ provides on-the-spot services like issuing tickets.
Conductors on trains are equipped with hand-held terminals (Psion) enabling passengers to purchase their tickets on the train. The strap-on belt printer (Extech) communicates with the Psion Workabout through DataSofts infrared communicator equipped with the Maximum Security protocol (IrMS).

Transavia Airlines
Transavia Airlines uses Datasofts IrMS Communicators in their on-board tax-free selling system. The stewardess on the aeroplanes are equipped with hand-held terminals (Psion) and strap-on belt printers (Extech) that communicates through infrared communication.
The system has been fully operational since the first of May 1998. Their customers certainly appreciate the service.
