The Hilton Metropole Hotel was buzzing with excitement a few weeks ago when a large number of influential airline companys and other large business promoters met for a fantastic evening function.
The gentlemen guests were dressed in their best 'black tie' wear and the ladies looked superb in their latest evening gowns. The four course meal was served and enjoyed, wine was consumed and an exciting 'tombola' of fantastic prizes was delivered to the guests. The event was led delightfully and professionally by a female toastmaster who gave the evening its final touches of professionalism and etiquette.
But, despite all this, the guests sensed that they needed some way to burn off the adrenalin and excitement of the event. They needed something extra to what had already been experienced.How were they going to do this and who would lead them into the peak of the evenings enjoyment?
Ian Anthony, that's who!
The Ian Anthony 'intro' boomed out and as the first few bars of 'It's Not Unusual' burst from the speakers, the guests were already on their feet and heading for the dance floor. Ian leapt onto the stage to cheers from everyone around him and began to work the crowd into that wonderful state induced by good food and wine mixed with fabulous entertainment! As Ian led the guests through the very best of Tom Jones music, recorded over 40 years of entertainment, he gave them love songs, power ballads and raw rock and roll. The girls threw their underwear and the fellers just stood back in awe! During 'Kiss' the guests on the dance floor mimicked Ian as he wriggled his hips and danced across the stage.
Ian stayed for three 'encores' before he escaped from the stage, with cries of 'more' echoing around the room. He stayed to talk with the guests and pose for photographs when requested. Ian is the consumate entertainer and always tries to give as much to the evening as possible. No jumping into the car and speeding off for him!
The realism and presence of Ian on stage, coupled with the fabulous sound system and stage lighting created the 'cream on the cake' for this event. It was now an evening that people would talk about for many days as they returned to work after the weekend. They would already be looking forward to the next big event and, hopefully, to meeting Ian Anthony or another Tribute artist of similar talent and ability.
Choosing good quality entertainment is surely as as important to your event as any of the other factors, such as quality presentation, dining and service etc. The effect of having a high quality entertainer at your venue will build on your company kudos and it can only have a positive effect on other customers and partners involved on the night.
