1. What is the idea?
The idea is simple: to try and make $250,000 (US) by selling 1,000,000 pixels for 25 cents each. Hence, 'The 1/4 Million Dollar Enterto Homepage". The main motivation for doing this is to raise money to build our 2 websites, www.enterto.com and www.entertomusic.com, into the ultimate destination for the online Internet world.
So, everyone is welcome to buy our pixels, which are available in 400-pixel 'blocks' (each measuring 20x20 pixels). You will see the homepage is divided into 2500 of these 400-pixel blocks (hence there are 1,000,000 pixels in total).
The reason for selling them in 400-pixel blocks is because anything smaller would be too small to display anything meaningful.
You can buy as many pixels as you like, as long as there are some available (see the live stats in the top right corner of the page). When you buy some pixels, you can display an image/ad/logo of your choice in the space you have purchased. You can also have the image click through to your own website. However, no obscene or offensive images are allowed.

Enterto, Inc. is launching the most comprehensive Web portal available on the Internet today.
Enterto, Inc. is a California-based corporation created by a team of tech-savvy and business-experienced professionals. This brain trust is preparing to offer a superior approach to Internet use for individuals and businesses.
Enterto has developed an integrated, multi-platform that offers users the opportunity to simply and efficiently access their favorite sites along with a host of specially created and advantaged Enterto sites through the Enterto portal. Now, users do not have to click from site to site; all of their web interests reside in one place.
3. Are you genuine/is this a joke?
We are completely genuine and hope to become your favorite destination on the Internet!
4. How did you come up with the idea?
We wish that we had come up with this brilliant idea, but a very fine chap from England named Alex Tew came up with it. Enterto wants Alex to know after our pixel page is successful that we will make a donation to Alex's college fund!
5. What will you do with the money?
The Enterto team has developed and tested their approach; the site is already running and attracting users. However, in order to launch the site aggressively, Enterto seeks $250,000 in funding to build infrastructure, provide initial working capital and potentially to make strategic acquisitions. We have been working on this project for almost 3 years; most of our people are either working for free, or way below industry wages. We are extremely dedicated, working 7 days a week, were very passionate about this project. If it's successful we want to put back money into different segments of worldwide communities, for example my dream is to build a state of the art baseball field in an underprivileged area, another aspiration, is to provide music scholarships to less fortunate individuals. So please help us attain our dreams!
6. Why should I buy your pixels?
Because you will have an image and a link to your site on the homepage of a site that could potentially be seen by millions of people over the coming years. The site will be online for at least 5 years, that's guaranteed, but the idea is to keep it online forever. So you really could own a piece of 'internet history'! If buy over 8000 pixels you will have free banner advertising on Enterto, forever, with certain restrictions, which are spelled out in the Terms and Conditions! If you buy the biggest block, you will receive a free banner ad forever, on all Enterto's sites, with certain restrictions, which are spelled out in the Terms and conditions.
7. Why can't I buy one single pixel?
We decided that although it would probably be cool if individuals could buy a single pixel each, in practice, it wouldn't be effective. The reason we believe this is because you can't display anything meaningful in one pixel - nor click it easily - so visually, it would be pointless. With thousands of random tiny colored dots all over the place, the homepage would not be appealing.
We also thought that the site would appeal more to people with businesses/websites to advertise than it would to individuals, or to put it more accurately, businesses would pay more to have a meaningful graphic on the pixel page. Hence the minimum purchase is $100-a 20x20 block.
However! If you really want to own a single pixel, there is always the option of joining together with your friends/family/colleagues and buying a 20x20 block.
8. How long will the site be online?
The site will be online for 5 years guaranteed (at least until 10th November 2010), however the aim is to keep the site online forever (or as long as humanly possible).
The idea is to create something of an Internet time capsule: a homepage that is unique and permanent. Everything on the Internet keeps changing so fast, it will be nice to have something that stays solid and permanent for many years. You can be a part of that!
