After Market golf clubs are clubs that are manufactured with the same material, similar styles and offer the same performance of the Name Brand Companies, but more importantly at a better value, and playability factor since they are assembled by a Professional Club maker and not an assembly line of workers waiting to punch a time clock and go home. Most importantly and what has the O.E.M.s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) worried about is that they know with the technology used in today’s after market heads, although not illegal or infringing on any of their patents, when assembled to fit a persons personal specifications they will not only look as the name brand but they will play better as well. Since buying off the rack at a sporting goods store only 1 out of 10 golfers will have the correct specifications for that set.
Are some After Market Golf Clubs illegal?( These are clubs designed to make you believe they are the name brand, for example: it will say Taylor Made on the club and look exactly like it, but it is a counterfeit as with street vendors selling Gucci, Rolex Watches etc.)
Most definitely, they are commonly referred to as illegal knockoffs or counterfeits. The products that are offered by these counterfeiters are products that violate the trade dress, trademarks, patents and/or copyrights of another company. The counterfeiters' goal in most cases is to confuse the consumer into thinking that they are actually purchasing the Name Brand Companies' product. These companies steal from us because we try to play by the rules and they don't. We at Turbo Power Golf do not sell nor endorse any of these types of products that blatantly violate other companies' intellectual properties. What we do offer is a product component line manufactured from the same high quality materials and workmanship (as the O.E.M.’s) to the Custom Club makers to assemble high performance golf clubs at a fraction of the Name Brand Costs.
Why do custom golf clubs cost so much less than the Name Brand Clubs?
Turbo Power Golf produces and manufactures their own product line and imports them from over seas. This allows us to cut out the middleman and pass the savings directly to our club makers. We also don't spend millions of dollars advertising and marketing our golf clubs. Many of the Name Brand Companies will spend millions of dollars to advertise market and endorse their product in hopes to convince the consumer to buy the Name Brand clubs. We depend on the word of mouth of our custom club makers as they do with their customer base to get the news out about our products and their quality assembled clubs. This in turn decreases overhead significantly and ultimately a custom club maker can offer their products at a much lower price and higher quality through the custom fitting and custom pre assembled clubs than the Name Brand Companies. As with anything in life you are paying for a name as well as for the extraordinary salaries they have obligated themselves to by having Professional Endorsements.
