American InterContinental University believes that the quality of educational programs and services should not be measured by the hours that a student sits in a classroom seat, but rather through the measurement of student learning and other student outcomes. Therefore, the University offers quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs and educational services that support the student from entrance to graduation and into the workplace.
To evaluate student learning outcomes, the University utilizes authentic assessment, which allows students to demonstrate their skills through the completion of real world, professional deliverables. In the real world, problems are not simple and seldom do they have one “right” answer. Students experience the complexity of real world problems and canlearn to select an appropriate approach to a problem that has more than one solution. Authentic assessment is integrated into the learning by defining the standards of performance that can be used to nurture the learner's development of the knowledge and skills required in the 21st Century workplace.

Instructional Technology (M.Ed) Program
Our Masters of Education in Instructional Technology (M.Ed) Program can provide a solid foundation for effective educational practice and career advancement for all levels of educational practitioners including K-12, Higher Education, and Corporate Learning. Students can develop skills in learning theory, instructional design, instructional technology, and the application of educational research methods.
Information Technology Degree Programs
Our Bachelor of Information Technology program can produce leaders in the field by introducing industry-current information technology trends in hardware and software. The program focuses on the four key areas of Business, Computer Networking, Software Development, and Database Administration. With a dynamic curriculum based on industry needs, you’ll encounter not only technical challenges, but also be introduced to the business side of the IT industry that requires project management and leadership skills.
Fashion Design and Marketing Training Programs
We offer both an Associate and Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design. Our goal is to encourage the students to develop their creative talents, so they can become some of the most innovative designers in the field. The program focuses on techniques of fine craftsmanship, consumer-based needs, and business awareness. Pattern drafting, draping and construction are used to develop new concepts and to refine and develop the individual skills and talents of each student. In order to sharpen their skills using textile equipment, they work with industrial machines, cutting tables, and dress forms. Students have the opportunity to introduce their designs at an exciting showcase produced by the University’s fashion show production class.
Media Production Degree Program
If you are looking for a career in broadcasting, cable, corporate communications, web media, or the audio recording industry, start here. AIU can prepare you for work in the video and audio production fields.
This is a very "hands-on" program where you'll shoot video with industry-standard digital cameras, and edit on workstations that use either AVID or Final Cut Pro software. Or you can produce a "videomagazine" style show in our 3-camera television production studio.
You can "get the beat" in our Digital Audio Lab that features a recording studio and (5) workstations with the Logic and ProTools software. Learn about scriptwriting, producing, directing, and composing from instructors who are active, working professionals.

Our Business Administration Degree programs allow students to gain valuable knowledge about information systems, business education, business administration, marketing, management and much more. • Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration
The Associate Degree program is designed as a unique blend of business education courses that can prepare students to enter today’s demanding business world. To teach critical thinking and communication skills, we combine fundamental business education courses with general education coursework. The concentration in Information Systems can prepare students with an introduction to the logic and structure of information systems.

Business Degrees in Enterprise Management
The Enterprise Management (BBA) lower division business education curriculum provides a foundation for continued study in the upper division program. Interior Design Degree Program
The Bachelor’s Degree program in Interior Design offered by American InterContinental University can prepare students for a creative and fulfilling career as a professional Interior Designer. We provide you with the valuable education and experience it takes to know how to enhance the function and quality of an interior space while working with the architecture of the space. To prepare students to become qualified criminal justice professionals, our program offers classes in criminal justice and juvenile justice processes, criminology, law enforcement, law adjudication and corrections. Students can gain an understanding of law enforcement principles such as police organization, discretion, subculture and legal constraints, along with the basics of crime like typologies, offenders, and their victims. The program also includes learning about law adjudication – prosecution, defense, court procedures, and legal decision-making processes. Plus, graduates from the Criminal Justice program at American InterContinental University will possess the essential skills they need in the areas of: corrections and parole, incarceration, community-based corrections and treatment of offenders, and alternatives to traditional parole.
