The Bronze Rat

A tourist walks into a curio shop in San Francisco. Looking around at the exotica, he notices a very lifelike life-sized bronze statue of a rat.

It has no price tag, but is so striking he decides he must have it. He takes it to the owner: "How much for the bronze rat?" "$12 for the rat, $100 for the story," says the owner.

The tourist gives the man $12. "I'll just take the rat, you can keep the story."

As he walks down the street carrying his bronze rat, he notices that a few real rats have crawled out of the alleys and sewers and begun following him down the street.

This is disconcerting, and he begins walking faster. But with in a couple of blocks, the herd of rats behind him has grown to hundreds, and they begin squealing.

He begins to trot toward the Bay, looking around to see that the rats now number in the MILLIONS, and are squealing and coming toward him faster and faster.

Concerned, even scared, he runs to the edge of the Bay, and throws the bronze rat as far out into the water as he can.

Amazingly, the millions of rats all jump into the Bay after it, and are all drowned.

The man walks back to the curio shop. "Ah-ha!" says the owner, you have come back for the story?"

"No," says the man, "I came back to see if you have a bronze Democrat."

Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld must feel like this man today!

After all, the Democrats are squealing and coming toward him faster and faster. Amazingly, will the Democrats jump into the Bay?

138,576.000 Jobs. The most in the History Of The United States.

From Ralph Reed: New job figures released today and other recent indicators show that America's economy is strong and getting stronger, and that the President's jobs and growth plan is working. In total, over 1.1 million jobs have been added since August, with 8 consecutive months of gains.

April's increase in employment remained strong and well in excess of market expectations. 288,000 net new jobs were created in April - and February and March increases were revised upward, for a combined upward revision of 66,000.

The back-to-back monthly gains in March and April were the strongest in four years.

The national unemployment rate edged down to 5.6% in April - falling 0.7 percentage points from its peak of 6.3% in June 2003. At 5.6%, the unemployment rate is below the average of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

There were 21,000 new jobs in manufacturing on top of 9,000 in March, a third straight month that this category of employment increased after a long period of decline.

The American economy grew at a strong annual pace of 4.2 percent during the first quarter of 2004 - well above the historical average, and continuing the strong growth seen over the previous two quarters.

Even now, John Kerry's campaign ad says, "Under George Bush, 3 million Americans have lost their jobs."

Senator Mitch McConnell: "Another survey of jobs, the household surveys says that we have more jobs now than at any time in our history – 138 million jobs."

“We haven't lost jobs by this measure but we've gained jobs – half a million jobs more than at any time in American history."

Sen. Rick Santorum and our group were the "Only Ones" pushing the Right Survey.

The Other Survey does not include all of the Jobs (workers on farms, family businesses, households and self-employed).

The Right Survey 138,576,000 jobs and the Wrong Survey 130,902,000 jobs in Apr 2004. Even I can see that, something is wrong.

Don't let Kerry lie about 3 Million jobs lost, or Pelosi lie about 2.6 Million, or the Media lie about 2 Million Jobs lost under Bush.

Even, using the wrong survey, Only 1.59 Millions Jobs lost. You do the Math. You write emails to them and tell them: "They are Lying".
