FreeImageHosting.net which is located at http://www.freeimagehosting.net provides free image hosting which lets any internet user have their images and photos hosted on the web. The following article is an image hosting tutorial for FreeImageHosting.net and may be helpful for other similar services.
Our image host allows you to anonymously upload as many images as you would like. Here are the instructions on how to make an anonymous upload. Simply go to the front page at http://www.freeimagehosting.net and click the button labeled "Browse". Search your hard drive and folders for the image you would like to upload. Currently, the only allowed file extensions are .gif, .jpg, and .png. More file extensions may be added in the future. If you already know the location of the image on your computer, just enter it into the text field instead of clicking on "Browse". Next, click the "Upload Image" button to send the file to our dedicated linux server. You will receive a message letting you know whether the transfer was successful or not.
There are several rules you must follow when using a free image hosting provider. Do not link or embed images hosted on the service into large-scale, non-forum websites. You may however link or embed images in personal sites, message boards, and individual online auctions. Any image uploaded that is adult-rated in nature, infringes upon copyrights not held by the uploader, is illegal or violates any laws, will be immediately deleted and the IP address of the uploader reported to the appropriate authorities. The provider reserves the right to ban any individual uploader or domain from using the services for any reason whatsoever.
If your upload was successful, you will be presented with the URL of your image and a list of code options. Use the URL as you please, or copy and paste the code fragments into your html, forum post, or e-mail as instructed.
Instead of hosting an image anonymously, you can also sign up for an account. Click "Register" and read the terms and conditions. Next, enter your valid email address and a username you will remember. An email letter containing your password will arrive within seconds. Click "My Account" to log in. This account is 100% free and has several advantages.
First of all, signing up for an account lets you conveniently manage your uploads. You will be able to view thumbnails of all your images in one place. Click on a thumbnail to see the full sized version. From this section you can delete images or get the code to display your image.
Secondly, having an account lets you create multiple online photo galleries. Click "Manage Your Galleries", enter a name for your gallery, and click submit to get started. All your uploaded images will show up. Click the check box next to the ones you would like to have in this gallery and hit "Continue". Back in your account, you will be provided with the code needed to create a link. Share your photo gallery with family and friends!
