Greetings,

Hope your week's been going well -- I've actually got things under control for a change (instead of being bowled over like normal!) Thought I'd try to slip in a reading for the weekend!

Sorry about the confusion on the last reading regarding the Two of Wands ... which I inadvertantly called the Two of Cups when I was talking about it. I was thinking Two of Wands all the way, my fingers were just used to typing Cups (I guess because the previous card was the Eight of Cups)!

If the "errata" email cluttered your mailbox, I apologize. I'm always unsure whether or not to send a correction email ... I don't mind admitting mistakes and correcting them, I'm just concerned about hitting you with too many emails.

I know I get deluged with emails from other lists I'm on; I really want to avoid doing that. So ... once again, I apologize for the extra "correction" email last time. I've got to do more than just "proof read" next time -- I'll try "sanity check" as well!

---------------------

We'll again pull two cards -- the first suggests something we should focus on for the week. The second suggests things we might consider in order to fully benefit from the attributes of the first card.

The cards are:

Ace of Swords (Reversed)

Queen of Wands (Reversed)

Right off, we've got something interesting -- both cards are reversed. When I see a majority of reversed cards in a reading, I look for a single necessary action that will upright all the reversals. Quite often this is a small attitude change that frees up the logjam!

Regarding our first card, the Ace of Swords, you may remember that I really like seeing ace's in a reading. They almost always suggest something special. The Ace of Swords suggests a new beginning -- especially in the area of intellect and perspective. This could be a new attitude about something or a change in some mental conflict. Have you had something you've been unable to make up your mind about? This Ace could suggest finally accepting -- or rejecting -- that premise.

This ace suggests using your reasoning ability to resolve issues. How should you do this? Well, how would you want someone to act if they were going to think through a problem involving yourself? You'd want them to be fair and impartial, to focus on the issue with no distractions, and to carefully think about all the issues on all sides of the issue. So ... you should try to do the same!

Since this card is reversed, it suggests some sort of difficulty in being able to do this -- to impartially analyze issues you may face. Let's look at our next card to see if it can help us break free.

The Queen of Wands is the perfect card to have in this situation. This Queen suggests confidence and ability based on past experience. She's faced similar situations in her past -- so she's confident she'll be able to pull through just like she's done before. She hasn't always been successful -- no one is -- but she has learned from each encounter (successes and failures). She's able to apply these lessons to improve her chances of success with each new encounter.

And she's also reversed. This might suggest that you may not be listening to what you've learned in past experiences. We do this -- perhaps because we hope things will be different, or perhaps because someone seems so trustworthy, or perhaps because we're simply in a hurry and don't think about it.

You've heard people talk about the "School of Hard Knocks". Well, we all attend this school -- and we're all presented with lessons. It'd be foolish to waste what we constantly learn (sometimes painfully!) from this school -- we should apply these lessons whenever we're trying to make difficult decisions.

So ... should your past experience be your only guide when making decisions? Well, not really -- but it should be one of the major factors in your considerations. Weight your experiences accordingly -- you've spent your entire life learning lessons from the world. Listen and consider what that little voice of experience has to say -- and it just might help you through tough times.

And that's about it this time! I hope things go well for you through the weekend and look forward to talking to you again next week. As always, if you're interested in a private reading, please try my sponsors above or my list of readers at http://www.woodsongtarot.com/readers.html .
