PLEASANTON, Calif. -- The Xerox DP 1015 digital projector announced today is one of the most compact, lightest, and easiest to use digital projectors in its price category. At only 3.5 lbs, this Digital Light Processor(TM) digital projector weighs less than most laptop PCs and displays sharp images for only $1,999.
The DP 1015's bright 1500 lumens and high 1024x768 (XGA) resolution, contrast and color fidelity produce excellent picture quality. It provides ample luminance to present in poorly lit conference rooms and higher resolution to fill large screens with sharp picture quality.
Digital Light Processor(TM) Display Technology
The Xerox DP 1015's powerful Digital Light Processor (DLP) technology produces a contrast ratio of 900:1, which provides truer blacks and holds highlight detail for unsurpassed picture clarity, luminance and color accuracy. The DLP architecture incorporates advanced technology from Texas Instruments (a proven technology used wherever visual excellence is in demand), which allows the Xerox DP 1015 to digitally manipulate light. DLP is also the only display solution that enables an entirely digital connection between the video source and the screen and lasts longer than comparable Liquid Crystal Display-based projectors.
The DP 1015 includes an omni-directional infrared receiver (enabling people to highlight presentation details from anywhere in the room) for the standard accessory remote control that also features a laser pointer. It also comes with cables and a convenient carrying case. The DP 1015 has numerous input connections -- including DVI, RGB 15-pin, Composite Video and S-Video -- to offer flexibility, functionality and fidelity with video and audio devices. The DP 1015 also supports all global video standards including NTSC, PAL and SECAM. The projector is compatible with both Windows and Apple Macintosh environments.
The DP 1015 is the latest addition to the Xerox digital projector product line. The DP1011, announced last November, weighs just 2.1 pounds yet provides a contrast ratio of 2000:1 and 1100 ANSI lumens, making it one of the brightest projectors in the microportable (sub-3 pounds) class. The DP 1011 projector's 1024x768 (XGA) resolution provides the finest details for displaying presentations on large screens and can support High-Definition TV (HDTV), all for only $2,499.
