Staircase Staircases are like bridges between each level in helping the lower level chi interact with the upper level chi. However if a staircase faces the front or entrance door this may be particularly bad. This causes confusion between the chi entering the front door and the chi from the upper level that is draining out. The Chi that is in the house at the top of the stairs gathers velocity and rushes out of the house in a great way and does not bother to circulate throughout the house. Not being able to keep the vital positive Chi in your home or workplace can be disastrous and staircases opposite the front door do not help. However to remedy this problem place a large object such as a large pot plant in front or to one side of the staircase to make a filter type remedy for the Chi entering and exiting. You can use other large objects such as sculptures, tall aquariums, etc. By distracting the Chi it will lessen this effect of this problem and thus creating a positive effect

The circulating movement of the water keeps it from getting dirty too quickly and the sounds of moving water attracts the prosperity luck into the building and keeps it there.
Waterbed Waterbeds are not good for the body or mind at all as they can cause fatigue or tiredness. This is all found in the heating devise keeping the water warm. As the water cools down so does the body and turning up the temperature will be required. The electric currents that are applied to do so hit the body in small jolts of electro-magnetic energy, this then causes the body's natural circuit to jump to a different temperature very quickly in order to adjust to the waterbed's temperature. When this occurs this causes the body to work overtime and thus making the body very tired the next morning or even be suffering from minor headaches from the activity that has taken place during the night. Zen Garden Zen monasteries in Japan have beautiful gardens, which were initially created for contemplation, and inspiration that assisted the monk's path to spiritual insight. It was not used for meditation though as the garden was too bright and distracting. Meditation was done indoors in a semi-dark meditation hall, or Zendo, preferably sitting on the floor and facing a wall away from any sensory interruptions. The monks did not keep the gardens just for the 'art of gardening' but to keep in close contact with the earth by turning the soil to cleanse it and nourish it by watering it daily. A Zen garden includes white raked sand areas, large islands of upright stones, plants and shrubs. Keeping a Zen garden requires a lot of dedication in maintaining it and by doing so this type of garden will benefit you both physically and spiritually.
