Are profiles censored? Is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?
Yes. All member profiles, when they are originally created as well as when they are modified, must be approved by Close and Passionate webmasters. We reserve the right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. Also, we ask that you do not put any personal information in your profile, including but not limited to: your home address, a personal beeper, cell or telephone number, a "real" e-mail address or personal web address. Any offenders of this rule will be banned from this site.
How long does it take to have my profile posted?
Your profile is posted immediately and is checked within 24 hours.
What are some important tips to remember when creating my profile?
The number of replies you get from other members will depend greatly on the quality of your profile. Here are some helpful tips that will help you.
Upload a photograph We cannot stress this one enough - People like to see whom they're writing to and as a result, profiles with photographs get up to 10 or times more clicks as profiles that don't have one. When creating the site, we wanted to make photograph submission as easy as possible, so please take advantage of this feature. We also suggest adding a voice intro into your personal voice messaging system, members will be able to listen to you and contact you with a sense of familiarity.
Create a catchy title for your profile: When members search listings on the site, the title of your profile is listed next to your name. As a general rule, profile titles like "Hi!" do not catch people's attention, where as more personalized titles do.

Tell other members about yourself, likes and dislikes, things you enjoy doing, what line of work you're in, what your personality is like, even your hopes and dreams. The better your profile describes you, the more likely it is that others will read and respond to it. If you can't think of anything right away, you can always add more later. How do I remove my listing/Temporarily turn my listing off?
To permanently delete your profile, or to "turn off" your profile so that other members cannot see it, go to the Update page in your Close and Passionate account. There you will see a functions entitled Delete/Turn off your profile. This page will allow you to make changes to your profile's status. CAUTION: Deleting a profile is permanent. We will not be able to recover accidentally deleted profiles.
REFUND POLICY:
Close and Passionate has no refund policy. This has been covered prior to you joining, in the membership Terms and conditions and the refund policy agreement and the application as follows, which you have to agree to before joining the site as a Gold member: Close and Passionate offers a free trial period for all users before becoming a Gold member, this is done in order to allow ALL members the ability to view and see how the site works in its entirety with only limitations to its use, before joining as a Gold member. Unless there is an error in the operation of this our program or process Close and Passionate has no refund policy after services have been used in the same way that any organisation has, unless the goods are defective in any way. If you feel that your services have been defective in any way please contact payments@closeandpassionate.singlescrowd.com, with the reasons for your refund plus a copy of your user registration details and Transaction id Number or Payment invoice, without this we will be unable to help. The user registration details and the invoice are sent to the user upon joining Close and Passionate. All refunds will be made within 30 days of the user’s application. If a refund is granted then this will be on a All refunds will be on a prorated basis for how long you used the membership. What is the EarlyBird service? How do I use it?
The EarlyBird service allows you as a Close and Passionate member to describe the type of person you are looking for, and the site will then notify you via e-mail of new Close and Passionate members by email who match your preferences. In other words, you will receive prompt notification of new members without having to come to the site every day to look for them yourself. Also, your matching profiles along with potential partners will remain as your default for your ideal partner and will allow you to search automatically under these at anytime.
How do I turn off my EarlyBird mail?

What is the "Hot List" feature?
For Close and Passionate members, when you are browsing the listings, you will notice that every page has a check box on it that says "Add this person to my hot list". Clicking on this will do exactly what it says. Your Hot List is a list of members who you are interested in, and maintains a link to their page and remembers the last time you sent them e-mail. You can remove people from your Hot List by clicking on the "Remove" checkbox next to their name in your personal profile page.

How do I search for members?
You can search our database: by preferences from your personal home page. You can change or add to your search criteria at any time and your personal search options will automatically save these for the next time you re-visit or return to your page. Remember the more detail you add to your search the fewere number of matches that you get.
How do I send e-mail to members?
You can send e-mail to users by using the form at the bottom of that person's listing. Simply type in your message and click the "Send" button.
How do I get e-mail from other members?
You need to do NOTHING to receive e-mail sent to your Close and Passionate account. If someone responds to your profile account on Close and Passionate, we forward the message to your real email account. When you reply to the message, we automatically forward it to the person who responded to you. In this way, neither person finds out the other person's email address without permission. The same applies we our other SMS and mobile text services as well as our Telephone messaging services.
