Today I went into my garden to do some weeding, although the weather has been against us at the moment for gardening, it's still good to get a few dry hours to be able to get in the garden and weed or see what plants are coming up from last year.
I am at the moment planning which plants to add to my collection of loverly perrenials that bloom every year in my borders and flower beds.
I then thought of crocus.co.uk where I have spent quite a few pounds already and have had no complaints so far. You can get there through the gift page at my website.
This site is easy to navigate around and has lots of different idea's for the garden and for presents too.
When you first log on you will come to the homepage where you can choose which catergory you'd like to look at.
There's a page where you can order a catalogue which they will send to your home for you to look at and order online. This is an easy way to shop. also on the site menu is a list of other things to look at like gift vouchers, plant search, in store this week, cut flowers, problem solving, news and reviews and product offers.
The gift vouchers can be bought for as little as £10 and when you buy one as a present crocus send the person an email with their address and a little note to say it's from you, so that they can log on and start to browse the site for something to choose.
It takes a few minutes to complete the form for the gift voucher and crocus will send the email with the voucher enclosed in a matter of minutes, which is great if you happen to have forgotten that it's someone's birthday or have relatives that live far away and you want to get them something for christmas.
It is a secure site and they accept most credit and debit cards for payment.
The plant search part is excellent and you can type in the name of the plant your looking for, or the latin name if your really up on your gardening terms. Click on the search button and away you go, to find what your looking for in seconds.
It will show you a list of all the plants your looking for and the price of them along with how long it will take for you to receive them if you order.
The product search is the same sort of thing as the plant search but this time you can find anything you may need to use in your garden, from gloves to water features and I must say that there is a great choice here. You can even get terracotta pots to stand in the garden and just about every other garden feature you might be thinking of.
It's well worth looking at.
The plant offer section is my favorite place as here you can get some real bargains, I have even come across plants that have fit nicely with my others in my garden and I haven't been looking for them. There are some good offers here not just for plants but for herbs too.
It tells you the price before the offer and how much the prices are now so that you can see what you are saving.
It also tells you how long the item will take to be delivered and you can pay by credit or debit card. This is a good part to look at for the pressies if your a bit skint as the plants look good and you can send them back if your not satisfied.
In store this week, is a section which is good to look at too, this tells you all the offers has a place you can find tools, plants, designs, barbeques, gifts, machinery, the plant doctor and lots of other features of the site too.
This in my opinion is a really great site with lots of help and idea's for gardening from beginning a new idea to just revamping your old tired garden, this site can help you with advice, design tips and even emails from well known gardeners.
I have bought lots of perrenial plants from here and they have been delivered in the time that I have been told and are still flowering every year.
I have to date no complaints whatsoever about crocus and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to you.
Take a look if you stuck on what to buy someone for a present or for christmas as you could be very surprised at what you find.
Right I'm off to have a look myself as I need more orange coloured plants in my garden this year, I'm not to up on any of the plants latin names, but can always find the one's I want by searching for them.
I love crocus.co.uk
