This article shows you what advertisement is and how we can
define it in different ways!

A public promotion of some product or service

encourage a purchase or promotes a point of view. Billboards,
newspapers, magazines, radio and television all offer forms of
advertising.

There are three basic forms of advertising appeals:
Rational Product features and price that allow comparison. Emphasis
might be dependability, convenience, price, and savings associated
with use. Emotional Emphasis on feelings versus fact. Common
approaches are social acceptance, individuality, prestige, and creativity.

Testimonial Statement on the benefits of a product with little useful
product information, frequently made by an "expert" or celebrity.
Information about a product or service used to attract potential consumers;
advertising takes place in newspapers and magazines, on hoardings, on radio
and television and on the Internet
(as used in e-learning): Promotions of various aspects of a product or
service.
Often appears inside the front or back covers of a publication or on the
screens displayed by an application when users start or install it.

A paid public announcement appearing in the media.

A form of conspicuous display. Territorial advertisement refers to behavior
patterns that serve to attract females and ward off conspecific intruders.

Any advertising material supplied by the Client.

the selling of goods or services, or giving public information, as defined

the Town and Country Planning Control of Advertisements Regulations 1992.

using technologies like Java, Shockwave and EZ-Image.

In Systems Management Server, a notification sent by the site server to
the client access points (CAPs) specifying that a software distribution
program is available for clients to use. In Windows 2000, the Software
Installation snap-in generates an application advertisement script and
stores this script in the appropriate locations in Active Directory and the
Group Policy object.

A client machine advertises these files as available, but they are not
actually installed. The files are available to the client machine through
the network.

A public notice or announcement usually paid for, about things for sale.

announcement in the print, broadcast, or electronic media, designed to
attract public attention or patronage.

Notification to a collection that a program is available to run. Means the
graphic file supplied by the Advertiser which can be selected by a user as a

network.
