Making Money Online
Make money by having a web page

Go to Web Site

It's always good to find ways to make extra cash, especially if like me your on the net a lot and need to pay for the monthly connection fee.

There are lots of sites to join to earn money which help, sites like this one where you get to write and fill in surveys, you can read emails for cash and get paid to surf the net, but all these are slow earners.

One of the best ways to earn money on the net is to use your website.

If like me your on AOL then your website will come free, with tools like Easy Designer and 123 Publish it's easy to follow the procedure to getting your own site designed to your liking.

Once you have made your own site and put it in the catagory of your choice, which can be found on the AOL members homepages, eg personal, business, family ect. your ready to advertise your page.

If you want your webpage to make you some money whilst your advertising then the best way is to add banners which pay either per click or pay commission on sales.

These banners can be put anywhere on your webpage. You can have a banner which flashes or you can just add the text for people to click on.

My website has both, which do very nicely for me and every two months I earn anything from £30 to £50. This is not a huge amount of money but for a website that just sits there collecting hits I think it's not bad.

To get a banner on your page you will have to join a site which makes you an affiliate. I'm a member of Tradedoubler and Affilitewindow.

By joining these sites you can choose which banners you want to put on your site.

It's easy to join, register your name, address and email address. Then add your URL which is the address of your website.

Apply to jon the affilite programs and once your accepted, you can then copy and paste the banner code into the advanced html of your page.

Once you have saved your page the banners should appear wherever you have placed them on your page.

I think that if your going to the trouble of making a website then you don't just want it to sit there unnoticed. The best way to get it noticed is to get a www. address. This is also cheap and easy to get, just register at a good domain name selling site.

I joined 123.reg and bought a .co.uk name for £2.99 this lasts for two years when I can renew it for the same price.

I have a certificate of ownership and no-one can use my website name. Don't forget when you do get your website name to update your address on your affiliate members page. This way your website can still be tracked when someone clicks on your banners, so that you still get paid.

Now the stage is set to earn money.

1 You've made a website.

2 Youv'e joined an affiliate site or two

3 You've bought a www.name

4 You've added banners to your page.

The next step is to advertise.

This is an ongoing thing and there are so many places you can advertise that it gets hard to know where you've been and where to go next.

Here are a few places that you need to advertise so that your website gets listed in the search engines and can be seen.

The Open Directory is the first place you should add your URL to this where you get listed for the search engines.

It may take anything from four weeks to months for your site to get listed, but if you don't get it listed then no-one will see it.

Addme is a free site where you can add your URL to the lists of lots of search engines, all they ask is that you put a banner of theirs onto your webpage and you can join about 50 search engines for free.

Again it takes time to get listed.

If you think you have a really good site which people are going to want to see, you can always pay for express listing on most search engine lists.

Once you have gone through this process the only other thing to do is sit and wait for the pennies to add up. Then the affiliate programs will send you a cheque or pay into your bank when you have reached the mimimun payout amount.

My page is www.winsomething-online.co.uk if you want to see what you can do to earn extra cash.

I think if you have a website then the best thing to do with it is to make it pay you whilst you have it, there's always someone somewhere browsing the net day and night.

You can also add links to your website from your profile page, you can make a profile free on AOL and on Ebay.

If you find or know someone with a website you can also swap links.

Then there's the old fashioned way of advertising to get your website noticed, from newspapers, address labels, shop notice boards to car window stickers or transfers.

If it gets you noticed then people might visit you website.

Well, good luck and keep the pennies rolling in.
